About this blog

Initially this blog kept friends and family up to date about fieldwork in Eastern Congo (Jun-Aug'09, Jan-Feb'10, Jul-Dec'10, Apr'11, Dec-Mar'12, May'12, and Jul-Aug'12), but now includes things that I come across while doing my PhD research at Columbia University. In addition to the DRC, I now also conduct research in Sierra Leone.
